Frequently Asked Questions
Q- What should I expect in terms of general lead time?
A- Lead time on GM and Ford Cargo Van “factory orders” are running 6/8 weeks, some longer depending on options stops. When coordinated with Armadillo Van body production and shipping FOB Danielsville , Ga. , total lead extends to approximately 10-12 weeks from receiving a signed order.
Q- Will there be grounded (Bailment) units available for our customers to eliminate manufacture production time?
A- At the present time, all chassis grounded are sold but occasionally some will become available. We will try posting these changes, but always call as they change very quickly. As we grow we will be entertaining the flexibility of more open inventory.
Q- What Ship-To codes do I order from the manufacturer to be dropped at Vision for Armadillo body application?
A-The Ford Ship to code is F86387, Chevrolet 59-105, GMC 56-130.
Q- Is the factory orderable option or is there a PO process?
A- We are an after market provider who modifies the body on factory original Econoline and Express ¾ and 1 ton chassis. PO process would be a signed order. Once received, we would schedule a production slot and an invoice for COD upon delivery.
Q- How will factory “Commercial Programs” like racks and bins work and are they applicable?
A- Racks and bin packages at this time will have to be installed by a Regional Authorized Installer; pricing is fixed by the factory. Rebates and No Charge packages are available with proper documentation which is submitted by the selling Dealer (NVA). Commercial Racks and Bin Packages will add 2-3 weeks to your total lead time and additional shipping expense.
Q- Speaking of shipping expense, how does the shipping work with vehicles that don't fit into mfctr logistics.
A- Freight charges can be estimated by Map quest mileage FOB Daniesville Ga. @ $1.25 per mile for a single unit, 2 units can be estimated @ $1.10 per mile per unit and 3 units @ $1.00 per mile per unit. As you know, transportation costs have so many variables and are always difficult to estimate so we recommend quoting TBD (to be determined) with the above as estimate only.
